Horizon Tax relief ... I called them back on a land line and without even identifying myself they told me I received the call because I owed taxes on some property I owned Mississippi and I needed to take care of it before it got me in trouble. I asked how could they that without even knowing the name of the person they were speaking to. The woman said, "Well I need your name to verify that information". What a joke these people are.
Just left a message. It was "Teresa from Horizon Tax Relief" saying I needed help with IRS or state tax issues. Never worked with them before. Did not return call.
Robo call. Hung up as soon as I heard the recorded message. Was a local call (for me) so thought it might be legit. Basically now have to ignore all calls I don't recognize.
Got a call from Theresa as well. Same message about tax issues. I have never had tax issues so these calls always raise suspicion for me. Called the number and a well spoken gentemean answered. I asked if his business was legit. He proceeded to tell me a list of credits. I don't buy it. I told him I had been harassed by another individual who said I would pay for reporting him to irs. He sounded concerned and wanted to report the person. I'm guessing he wanted to get to know his competition. Glad I found th is site confirming my concerns were warranted.
