Caller left a long robo message on my machine about voting for Measure SS but the caller id said "Out of Area" which probably means telemarketer/scammer. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 different types of traces and all were blocked for a person or business name and the only information was a general location of Anaheim, California using 2 service providers of AT&T California and Pacific Bell Telephone. This is definitely a scammer that is either spoofing numbers and/or using a Voip system while phishing for personal information and running some scam ( i.e. data mining scam for political interests etc. ). A legitimate business would never hide their identity and location from the public by blocking a trace. DON'T ANSWER AND DO NOT CALL BACK FOR ANY REASON. Block and report to the proper authorities. Phone companies should be held responsible for these types of calls since they are making money from them by providing the systems and services that these scammers use and possibly farming out numbers too.

A call from Anaheim VOIP number arrived today. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message, just dead space. This is a favorite tactic of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who use automated dialers to troll the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to rip off.
Stop these lawbreakers at the point of contact. Let your answering machine take their pathetic calls.
