I got a call from this number on Wednesday, November 23. They claimed to be from an organization like the Fraternal Order of Police Officers and asked if they could count on me to make a donation and asked for my mailing address. When I told them I didn't have any money, the guy got very pushy, insisting that I should try donating at least something and would not let me get a word in edgewise. I shouted him down, telling him, "I don't have ANY money so stop calling here, all right?", then hung up on him! I'm on the Do Not Call list and filed a complaint with the Do Not Call registry.
Calls from charities, even fake charities, are allowed under the Do Not Call List law. Your pest will call back. Block the calls, or at least hang up on them as soon as you learn who they are.
