Received a call on my cell. Answered. Nothing. Blocked the number. Came here & read comments.
I decided to call and see what it was. "Hi this is Julie with rewards redemption...blah, blah, blah....press 1" Out of curiosity I pressed 1. Some man with a heavy accent came on and told me they will mail $150 gift card, blah, blah, need my name. Gave them a fake name. Asked for my birth date. Gave them fake date. Asked for my address. Gave a fake address. He asked for a minute to validate address. He made small talk. Then he wants bank info for the $4.95 shipping and handling. Said the gift card is being shipped from Phoenix. He continued to try to convince me to give up my credit card number. He claims since I use my credit card at stores so I should trust him. Haha he says if I trust my bank I can trust him. The longer I keep him on the phone the fewer people he can harass.
Thanks for doing this. I just got a call from them to and didn't pick up. I immediately search for the number and came here to confirm it needs to be blocked.
