Jan. 4th, 2016 - I don't have caller ID, so unfortunately I don't have the number, but the caller who identified himself as Ron Williams with the copy machine copy called not once but three times in a row wanting our copy machine model info. Knowing this is a scam, I gave him no info but did chew him out for calling me three times in a row.
I got a call from this number BUT this number is being highjacked and used to scam people into toner. The real owner to this number is from a band. If you google the number you will see that this number is assigned to a person WHO is not trying to scam people into toner. There is no reason this band would try to scam people into toner. It doesn't even make any sense. I called the number back and got a voice mail but the guy called me back and the real owner to this number said he has been getting calls about this every couple months. He has talked to the phone company and there isn't anything they can do about it. I highly doubt a band that is trying to promote itself in music is going to use the same number to scam people out of toner so that is why I beleive this number is being fraudulently used by someone else. I just wanted to put this note out there. The person who called about the toner said his name was Ron Williams with the copier. He said how are you doing and all that small stupid talk. Then he said your yearly gift card will be inside the box with the toner. I said we didn't order toner. And the guy said yes you did. I said no we didn't, we get free toner from our copy machine company. Guess what I heard next, DIAL TONE. His scam didn't work so he hung up. So anyway just letting people know that this number does belong to a real person who DOESN'T seem to have anything to do with it. Someone stole his number to do this, how I don't know.
