A foreign voice( India) or somewhere similar called and said his name is Joe Mayers from David Collins Law Office in Los Angeles County California and said they are sending my local police to arrest me for check fraud, He wouldnt tell me who I borrowed money from or when. He would not let me speak and kept threatening that I better call my lawyer.
I also received a call from the same type of person (indian) saying I have a claim against me but would not give me any information because I would not verify my address with him. He gave me the address of my hometown police department and also told me I better contact my lawyer or I will suffer the consequences. When I asked him if this was a scam he got mad and rude, said a few things, then hung up on me. I am assuming this is a scam correct? I was a little freaked out because they called my direct line at my work and called my cell multiple times...
Just received a call from the same people treating me that in was going to jail and the local police would be here tomorrow to serve me and if I don't pay them 1000 to 3000 dollars I will be going to jail. Said it was for a cash advance loan and I have never used cash advance. They had my social security number name phone number and email address..
