Same message in broken English. Message says second attempt so I can help them help me. (The writer of their script must be a big Jerry McGuire fan).

Same thing at about 2 pm EST - Dept of Treasury, broken English, second attempt, federal offense

Received a call from 714-983-5244. Claims this is second attempt, and if I don't call to resolve 'problem' I could be subject a federal magistrate or grand jury.

I wonder when the first call was made? I don't remember getting one.

And since when does and official government bureau not send registered mail?

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
