I was contacted about a large fish tank I had for sale from this number via text. I did this search and found nothing on this number so I hoped it would be fine. Today (the day the check is supposed to arrive), he used a different number: 646-397-8598 ..
Upon searching that number I found out this guy has been sending bad checks and such all over trying to buy large objects. Telling them the same thing he told me. "Out of town" and "I'll send you the money then cash it and send my movers their fee"...
Basically he wants you to withdraw money and resend so in a day when the check is considered counterfeit... You are stuck owing the bank money and he has real money.
He goes by Dave Chase and upon reading the other posting... He always seems to go by Dave.
