I have received four phone calls from a rep (whose states that his name is Andy) from ACI claiming they need to speak to me regarding a business matter but initially refusing to tell me what the business matter is concerning.
The individual called me by first name, told me his name was Andy and asked for the last 4 of my social. When I refused to give it to him, and asked what the call was about he only stated that he needed to speak to me regarding a business matter. Then he asked me to verify my birthdate. Once again, I refused and asked what "business matter" he needed to speak to me about an issue with Nutrisystem (and a former debt collection agency) last September. Only at this point did he tell me he is collecting a debt owed on a Nutrisystem Account. I explained that I had remedied anr (2007). I also explained that I have not been contacted since then by Nutrisystem or any one else regarding any issues since last September and requested that they not contact me again.
At this point he was rude and stated that he would mark my account as a refusal to pay and that he would continue to call everyday until the debt is collected. Since then he has contacted me every day via a PRIVATE number!!! He blocks his number so I can not tell who is calling! He was rude, aggressive and unresponsive to my denial that the account was settled over a year ago.
I have not received any type of paper communications from this company, or nutrisystem. He did not have an account number to give me to verify his reason for calling, but claimed to have all of my information and that he would turn me into the credit unions. This is harassment! Isn't there some way to stop this?!?
