Got a similar call from 716-201-4675 from "Jason Smith from Crime Investigation". Said a case was filed against me and would take legal action if I did not respond. I would suggest putting in a complaint to the FTC through their do not call registry and explain the situation. It would prevent these folks from taking advantage of people.
Called and said that it's Crime Investigation Division, and I am in a big trouble. Asked me if I heard from the State Police. When I asked if they are a police department, they said No, it's crime investigative department. When I insisted if they were law enforcement or not, they hung up!
Seems to be a call center in India with a U.S. number are committing federal crime by using Pre loaded CVS My Vanilla Cards or GreenDOT cards from Walmart they seem to be using the IComm.com telecommunication system
