So far they have called only once. A woman says she is with the IRS and that I owe them a lot of money and that I should return the call immediately. Me thinks this is definitely a scam. They also have called several friends and told them basically the same thing. Definitely POND SCUM.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

since we only use our line for fax, I'm pretty sure this is a scam. comcast voice mail send an email notification of messages. and this just sounds so very wrong
it is scary scam. Imagine getting a phone call that says this is the IRS, a lawsuit has been filed against you and you owe money call this number. I reported this number to the IRS today
