Actually, KC, registering with the DNC registry is useful. Just not to you. It's useful to telemarketers who buy the list from the government. They have a nice directory of active phone numbers that people monitor. It's a very useful service our government gives to these fine people who make these calls. The best phone list money can buy!
The list is meant for law abiding telemarketers. Obviously scofflaws and criminals will ignore it. It is meant as a guide for the law-abiding. People are prosecuted for violating its provisions.
