Seems to be a recording. The person identifies himself as "Officer Jeff Foster" and states that unless he hears from myself or my lawyer in X number of days, he is going to pursue criminal charges against me. Called the number back, and spoke to this person. He states he is a police detective, but refuses to state what department he works for. He tells me I need to wire money to his office, in order for legal action not to be taken against me. During the brief conversation, the amount of money he wanted me to send changed from $500 to $750 to $1200. I told him I was going to contact the police, and he became very angry. He began screaming at me that " he was the f---ing police" and he was going to have my "mother f---ing a$$ locked up". I laughed at him and hung up. He immediately called back two times, using very vulgar language, and I hung up on him again.

Same here. Said IRS sent multiple letters to my house but would not release dates or my address to which they were sent. Said I couldn't hang up or mute the phone call or police would be dispatched to my phones current location. Wanted me to wire money via green dot money pack cards. Really?!! Its 2pm, im sure there is a office open. Then I argued and he said he hope I enjoy jail. I tokd him im meet him there.

I immediately googled it and saw this string.
I just feel bad for the people he bullies to steal their money.
I can't believe the police can't do something about this.

My husband just received this same call, threating legal action. My husband is a Saint so we know this couldn't be true...he called me and asked what he should do. I just found this post while I was on the phone with him. Thanks for the heads up!
Recorded message, foreign accent with the name Foster from the IRS and if I don't call back immediately he can't help me; such B.S.!!! Can't wait to figure out how to contact the proper authorities to catch this looser!
