Hi, I recently received calls from New Smyrna B FL (386) 478-7301 and later Niagara Falls, NY (716) 402-5939 from this "company" claiming to be Alexander and Stefano telling me I needed to pay a debt from 7 years ago. The specific individual who contacted me was named James McDonald (probably a fake name) and his direct number is (866) 831-0597. After remembering that I paid this debt off, I did some research and found all these posts. This alerted me to double-check things. I pulled my credit report and this debt was no longer on it, proving this is a SCAM!! I reported it to the FTC and encourage future people to do the same, as they do not research individual claims, but rather once they get a large number of claims against the company then they take action. The woman at the FTC also noted that it is illegal for the "company" to threaten legal action, which they did so with me. Do NOT fall for this and if you are uncertain as to their claims, pull your credit report. Thank you for all your posts, you saved me a large amount of money!!

the first thing to be aware of they call all numbers including work which is defying the FTC rules. The mere fact that the recording initiates a persons name and implicates they are in possession of a social security number is also against the FTC and FBI mandates of collections. This is directly against regulations and in all states except maybe New York where they are located, it is completely against proper practices.
Call the FTC or go on line and complain, Call or go online to the FBI and do the same then end it with a call or go online with the BBB from Buffalo New York and file a complaint there as well. THIS IS A SCAM
I am an employee of Alexander & Stefano, the owner of this number. We periodically check what public feedback is available online and in other sources, and I think that a comment here is appropriate. Accusing a licensed, law-abiding business of being a "scam" and posting the content of private communications meant only for a single individual is an explicit violation of the Terms of Service for 800notes, which otherwise tends to provide excellent information about real spammers/scammers. If you receive calls from 716-748-6908 or 877-833-7257 and believe that you are not the intended recipient, you can call the toll-free number and ask that your number be removed permanently. Your number will be deleted from all of our records. This will take approximately 90 seconds, and the calls will stop permanently. A clerk may have made a bona fide error with the number, or you may have inherited a number attached to another person. If the call is for you then pleas call us back so that we can at least tell you why we are calling.
Also I would like to add that any messages left by our office will never, and have never said
"we would like to resolve this issue before we send this to trial."
Also if the above poster would have taken any amount of time to research any laws, they would quickly realize that everything that they have stated above is completely nonfactual.
The office is not a scam, and if anyone who reads this thinks rationally for a moment they will see that.
Ok, so I received a call also from this number "Alexander and Steffano" 716-735-1112. They advised me that they had a file in their office that they needed my statment on. It is in regards to a payday loan that I had gotten back in 2006. The funny thing is I paid this off with another company called "Check Restition Services Inc, and guess what they are located down the street from each other. Well the catch is the "Check restitution services phone number is not to that office any longer and no one has heard of this company, Well my opinion is its the same company they changed their name and phone number and are trying to scam people. Because it sure is funny when you ask them to send you documentation in the mail they are like well that isnt necessary we will just state that you are not willing to pay. This is total bullcrap and i will get to the bottom of this cause I will not be had by these scammers......
You are wrong, I recieved a call on a former employee that did state his name and that you had his social security number attached to a certain file number and "we would like to resolve this issue before we send this to trial" exactly as the other person said.

This should be illegal since this person is not my tenant that he's requesting information for...Talk about a SHADY FIRM...My company is looking into on how to prosecute this company as we speak.
