You're making me dizzy with what you "have heard" your duty is when you've ignored the legal duty of your debt collectors. If you have evidence of any conduct which breaks state or federal law, STOP TRYING TO PAY, already! You don't even know if the supposed debt lawyer is just another high school dropout whose only degree is "B.S."
There are *two* parties in this matter who can become a plaintiff, you know. In payday lending you're not really dealing with an honest industry to begin with. Do your homework and fight back.

Unsure it this is legit or not; claims to be a rep from a law office, in debt collections. All sounded legit but payday loans are illegal in my state. so am liable to pay the loan amount but not the $95.00 fees every two weeks. Locked up my bank acct. doing this huge, high fee thing. And it's illegal to charge that much as it is a payday loan and is illegal in NC. Have heard if I pay the loan co. even $10.00 monthly a judge wont force you to pay more as I am making payments. Fail to make any payments, then they can file legal issues in your county/state and get a judgement to pay both the loan amount and their legal fees/costs to get a non paying loanee to pay it all, even if it's still over a long period of time but now there's whatever is thelimit of court costs added to them. Pay them, the company that loaned you the money, pay them as much as you can even if it's only $5.00 or $10.00 month. and Dont skip ever their payments. That's your protection. Unless you win the lottery and keep paying them the $5 / $10 month!
