I received a call from this number today. The lady left a message for me stating that there was a transaction on my bank account today and as a preventative measure she wanted to make sure I was aware of the transaction. She wanted me to contact her directly at 855 477 9273. She however did not leave her name nor the name of my bank so I called my bank and they had no knowledge of any such call being made to me.
I got three calls in one day at my work number and I can lose my job with these kind of calls they say you owe money but when you ask questions they did you know answer what the owed money is for.
I have received numerous call to my work number from this company claiming I owe money to ACE Cash Express and if I don't make payment arrangements with them they will pursue me criminally. Out of fear I made a payment arrangement. They debited the money from my account and never sent the documentation of the debt as promised. The telephone number and name for the company that debited the account is a fake and the number belongs to a cell phone that no one ever answers. I received a call a few weeks later from another company from the same area claiming they also represented ACE Cash with the same threats.
Sorry, but you seem to have been scammed.
You should have insisted on a written "validation notice" =before= paying the supposed debt.
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:
* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money. ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]
We don't know if you were contacted by the real ACE Cash Express or by somebody pretending to be them.

I cancelled the debit card the payment was taken from and have disputed the charge with my bank. I suddenly seem to be receiving a lot of these scam calls.
I received a phone call from this phone number 716-256-1860 claiming to be from some portfolio company wanting to reach my son about a questionable transaction on his bank account. The caller was a male "Mr. Rezickee" (not sure of spelling) ...so before I gave his phone number to my son I chose to look up the phone number...thank the heavens for this web site!!!! Keep up the good work everyone!!!
