Borderline scam since you're donating more to the caller than the cause. Random calling charities are all this way, especially "hero". If you contribute, do it at your convenience to sources you find on your own or through local organizations.
Just got the call from "Buffalo, NY" and it hung up before I could answer. Upon recalling this number...got the message "Your call could not be completed as dialed...please check the number or call the operator."
