The BBB has reached out to the business on several occasions. The business has not attempted to answer the BBB in regard to concerns we have about their debt collection practices. Consumers are advising the BBB that this business is not following the rules and regulations put forth by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The BBB also advises consumers that if they feel threatened by the collection agent that they disconnect the call and file a complaint with us or notify the authorities if the situation warrants such. Received a call saying there were 'pending allegations' and they had my name and SS number on documents. When I looked up the toll free number they left - 877-318-1011 - it links to a company in New York - "Alexander & Stefano" They have a website.
THIS IS THE SECOND CALL IVE GOTTEN FROM THESE PEOPLE. YESTERDAY THEY CALLED FROM CALIFORNIA, TODAY THEY CALLED FROM NEW YORK. THEY TELL ME THEY HAVE THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF MY SS# AND ASK ME TO IDENTIFY. UMM NO STUPID I WILL NOT.
Received a phone call from 716-402-5939, saying that they are a third party collect agency. When I asked for proof of my so called loan, they said they will only fax it to me after I paid the payment. I told them no, I will not anything until I have proof. They said they are going to file court papers and have the sheiff take me to jail. Funny.

Refusing to validate a debt unless you pay them up front and threatening to have you hauled off to jail if you don't is NOT funny--and I would let them know the next time they call you intend (among other things), to report them to the FTC and the NY AG's office for making illegal threats.
It's basically a lot of corporate-speak [***] about what a great caring bunch of guys they are, but not one page on that site says anything at all about what they actually do for a living. It's actually pretty funny to read this drivel.
