Called me twice today. I called it back the first time and someone picked up...lots of background noise and then finally said "hello jennifer" i didn't say anything and he said "hello?" and then I said "hello" and he hung up. It called again 5 hours later with no voice mail.
This was an auto insurance spammer. Has called my almost never called Wyoming cell phone number six times in the last 2 days.
Here is some advice to help some of you out... If you have a smart cell phone, create a new contact and make the name something like 'Spam' or 'Ignore Me'.
Then, edit the contact and add this or any other spammers phone numbers to it.
If your phone allows you to, have it send all calls from this 'contact' directly to your voice mail. Or, assign a ring tone to it that is silent.
That way you don't have to hear your phone ring and most of these jerks won't bother leaving a message anyway. Each time a new spammer calls or these insurance jerks call you from a different line, just add their number to the 'Spam/Ignore Me' contact. If your phone only allows you to have a couple of phone numbers per contact, then you might eventually end up with 'Spam2', 'Spam3', etc. But, after a year or so, you can probably delete them as the robo spammers will likely have new phone numbers by then.
Hopefully this helps relieve some of the stress these people inflict on us with their unsolicited telemarketing tactics.
Company continues to call and ask for my son. They will not disclose who they are keep hanging up and will not allow me to speak to a supervisor. They have repeatedly ignored my requests to stop.
