they told me they were going to take my child if i didnt pay an account i already paid

Called saying they were going to serve me papers for "bad checks"

pretty sure this is a scam; called and advised I had 48 hours to take care of bad checks that I had written or I would be arrested.

Got a call at work today, says I owe a payday loan. Said if I didn't pay my wages would be garnished and they were going to serve me with papers at work to appear in court if I didn't make arrangements right then. When I didn't agree to their terms they hung up and turned around and called my line back to ask for Human Resources. Said the name of the company is Michael Matthews, and everyone that I spoke with is named Michael... hmmm!!
