Yes!!! "Bill" called me from "Exede" and said that he could offer me internet (I'm in a rural area).
His voicemail box is full...although "Exede" said they couldn't provide internet, he said he could for $49 installation. The phone number IS 716 467 1921 should we report it?
It's amazing how some people think that most Seniors are just "stupid" to fall for all these scams out here. But I was trying to solicit another Internet service provider other than Charter, etc. This person called me and indicated that I had filled out an online form searching for a new company, and he was calling inquiring when I wanted installation. The strange part is that he would not give me any reputable company that he was working for, nor where he was calling from. I kept asking him what was the procedure, he kept evading the question, then he says they install the "satillite dish" I immediately stopped him and asked, "Which dish company? Well, as I figured he said, "hold on, and I immediately hung up. Please beware of the scammers, and DON'T GIVE OUT NO INFO, If you are getting evasive answers, HANG UP. He says his name is "Bill".
