Just got the same text asking me to call and, thanks to the notes left here, I knew not to call and to ignore future attempts. Seriously, how many new scams can these people come up with?
I received a text to "please call me asap" I called back, as I have been waiting to hear from someone overseas. When the man who picked up said "Account Discovery Systems did you just receive a text" I said yes. He started asking a bunch of questions rapidly, so my reply was "I do not know who this is" and he hung up.
Never confirm anything with strangers over the phone. If they are going to sue you, you'll get notice in writing.
Received a text from this same number asking me to call asap! Called and was a debt collector for some person (not me) I told them I am not their customer and to take me off the list. I plan to report the number and the company when I find out who it is to the attorney general and do not call cell phone registry. Collection companies continuously sell data and names/phone numbers. It is illegal for them to harass you when you are not their collection customer.
This number continually texts me to please call. They won't reply with requested ID so I don't call. I'm sick of being harassed by unknown numbers and people who won't leave a message.
I received a text that said "Hello can you please call 716-504-6877". After looking up the number and reading these comments I am going to delete it and not text them back. It must be a scam.
