THIS NUMBER CALLS WITH A SCAM STATING MY INTERNET LISTING IS EXPIRING DO I WANT TO RE-NEW IF NOT I HAVE AN OUTSTANDING BALANCE THAT IS DUE IMMEDIATELY, I NEVER HAD A LISTING WITH THEM.... THE CALLER ID SAYS IT'S BANK OF AMERICA... THEY SAY THEY WORK THRU BANK OF AMERICA FOR PAYMENTS, THIS IS A SCAM!!!!
i have been getting a call from 1-716-566-9598 that will call me like 3 times a day and then not call me at all for 2 more days. When you answer the phone they just hang up...i think they want you to call back so you can pay gobs of money or something....that makes me mad 2....cause i have put my number on the Do Not Call Registry and i have filed a complaint on this number but they still call so apparently it doesnt work all that well...is there any one else who gets this number??? ...yes i know this is a scam and i wish somehow you could block this number but i they dont....bunch of bull if you ask me...How do they get our number?? I only put my cell number on like bills and stuff...eeeerrrr...

The caller thensaid they would send the complainant $500worth of shopping coupons, but they neededthe complainant’s bank account number.Thecaller gave the name of Lynn Smith atelephone number of 716-566-9598 and saidthey were based out of Houston, TX. Thenumber actually comes back to an unknownlocation in Buffalo, NY."
This was from the Irving Rambler newspaper dated january 2006.
I got a call from this number today and it was almost the same story.
