I just received 3 calls in under five 2 minutes. I picked the third time they called and a woman named "Amy" with a southern accent said they were calling me from the "academic advisement department" and i hung up before she finished talking because no academic school is going to call me and not leave a voicemail after the first unanswered call. If I get another call from this number I will be reporting it and then blocking it.
716-616-0253 called three times with in 2 mins apart never left a message when they called yesterday. And then the same number called again today three times in a row with in 2 mins from each other again.

My comment is exactly the same as all the others. I never answer if I do not know who is calling assuming that if it's important or an emergency they will leave a message. I also received the 'standard' 3 calls in a row without leaving any message. My guess to 'why 3 calls?' is they figure we will assume that it IS an emergency and that we will finally answer to find out which one of our loved ones was in a tragic accident or something similar.
I think it's bullish and it makes me want to call THEM excessively, preferably during their dinner time or while they're doing something else important, just to pay-it-forward a bit!!
