I just saw a police report about the phony irs phone call, I didn't expect the scam to get here so quick, in sept on the 16th they called, I didn't answer, I sometimes do to have fun when its some guy wanting to fix my computer, give them the run around , see how long I can keep them on the phone, the fake irs want to be paid with an itunes or some other screwy form of payment , western union. this explains the earlier call as soon as I answered they hung up.
A woman that works in a local city gov office fell for it and paid $300. and the next they wanted her to make another payment , when someone told her it's a scam, she was interviewed on the news last april and said she believed it because they knew her ss number.
