these people have been harraising me for 3 years about a debt owed by one of my ex employees. my ex employee put me as a refferance and they say that means they can call me as many times as they want. The message they leave is automated and threatens legal action if call is not returned. 6 times they have been notified its not his number. over and over they claim i will be removed from file and not be called again. how do i file and make them pay for this obvious harrasment?
got a call from 716-748-6908 on 4/12/11 @ 4:19 p.m. i wasn't home when they called and they didn't leave a message. my caller i.d. listed alexander and s? that's all the information that would fit on my caller i.d.
I received a call from them about a month ago. They misrepresented their buisiness and said I was listed as a reference for a person I know. They asked me to have her call them. I did. She called me back and told me they are saying she owes about $1,000.00 from a delinquent loan. She had her bank get her monthly statements and the loan was re-paid in full from direct debit.
Yesterday they called again and left a voice mail message that said I need to call and left a case #. It was regarding decicsions that were to be made and would affect me. I returned the call. The call taker did not have a clue about my name or the case number. I told him the number they called me at and he started in again about being a reference and do I know the woman. I told him I did. He wanted me to call her and have her call them again.
I told him I would not have her call them and he needed to lose my number and not call me again. He was insistant since I am listed as a reference he could call me. I told him he was no calling me as her reference, but instead to try to resolve a civil issue. I told him I am a police officer and hey are calling me during my work over a debt collection I have nothing to do with and to not call me anymore. He finally hung up on me.
I am a police offficer. If they call me again, I will contact the attorney general's office and file a complaint. I spoke to her again yesterday and told her of this. She said she is getting calls to her work from them and her boss told them to quit calling and harassing her at work. They hung up on the boss. Yet called back again and made comments they are a lawyer and would cause her to lose her job. Her boss told them that isn't even possible. They hung up again.
This is un ethical and illegal to call and harass during your work or home private time. They have an avenue to file a civil lawsuit to collect. I suggest you get a name when you first start your conversation and then file a complaint with the attorney general's office if you are having a problem with them. You can also contact you local police department and file a report if you feel it is merrited.
i received another call this morning from 716-748-9604 at 8:16 a.m. on april 13th, 2011. the message that was left said that i was a person of interest and listed two case numbers associated with someone named madelyn blakemore. they also asked me to return their call at 877-833-7257. i returned their call around 5:30 p.m. this evening and the message said that the company was alexander and stefano. i was able to speak to one of their operators. i told him that i do not know a madelyn blakemore and that she did not have my phone number. i asked that they remove my phone number from their calling list and not to call my phone number anymore. after a minute or so, he said that he had removed my number from their calling list and would not be calling me anymore.
