This is the third call I've gotten, but this is the first from this number (716-953-3012), The other two calls were from 888-567-2796 and 888-236-0715. All three calls are looking for my ex-husband's first wife. I met her briefly two times almost 26 years ago. Do not know her or where she is. Supposedly someone filed a formal complaint against her, is in serious trouble and they are filing some court papers against her. I really think it's a scam anyway. Didn't answer any of them and don't plan on calling any of them back unless I get one more "threatening" sounding voice message. I have done nothing wrong and will not tolerate bullies!!!
My dad got a call from this number and they told him i was being sent to court if i did not get ahold of them asap. I tried to look them up but they did not have much information. I called back and someone answered the phone. He asked me why I was calling. I told him I did not know and that my father had gotten calls and I was not sure why he was getting called at all. He asked for my name. I gave it. He was busy for a minute and said let me transfer you over to the person who has your file. I waited a minute and a Guy by the name Alan got on the line. He said he was the manager and even said the last 4 numbers in my SS#. I said Yes that is me. He then said that a bill had been placed with them for collection. I asked what was the name of the collection and he refused to give me information. He stated that he needed more information from me in order to verify it was me. I refused to give him anything further and asked him to send me something in the mail. He said they had sent something in the mail and that was never answered. How was he "just getting my bill" if he had "already sent me something in the mail that I had ignored". We went round and round for a bit and he became very hostile and rude. He kept saying i was refusing to verify my SSN# when I had in fact done it at the beginning of the conversation. I asked to listen to the recording that he supposedly had. He put me on hold and did it himself but refused to ever let me listen to it. I hung up on him when I told him to either let me listen or i would hang up. I do not know if it is a scammer or not, but they are rude, pushy and at no point in time did they ever identify who they where or who they where collecting for but told me that I had to provide my full SSN# and other important information in order to proceed.
