They are scammers who use many numbers. Do not validate any information, do not give them money. ALWAYS ask someone who claims to be a debt collector, attorney or such to validate the debt. BY LAW THEY HAVE TO COMPLY if legit. Do not allow them to send email. Email can be faked, can be loaded with viruses, or they can just plain spam you. I recorded my conversation with the

yeah, me to. which i called them and questioned it. they told me they were going to come to my job and arrest me. i called the so called company that supposedly i had an online loan with, could not find anything. so i question the loan place what their "collection agency" was and gave them the name of the "collection agency" and they had never heard of them. so i called that place back that has made threatening phone calls and explained to them what i had found out, they said it was no wonder they didn't know who they were since they (loan place) was just a poor little company in a small town in texas. crazy!!!
called, guy answered and said 'marshall cooper how can i help you'. now, i don't know if his name is marshall cooper, or if that's the name of his company, but it sounds like a law firm.....
i just got a call at my job. the guy left a voice mail msg claiming to be "marshall cooper" and that he was with the "fraud unit at PRG. PRG is Portfolio Recovery Group, a debt collector. They will call and lie about who they are. Ask them to send you documentation of the supposed debt you owe. No emails. real documentation. by law if you ask, they are to supply. do not give them any information or access to anything
I got a call as well "Marshall Cooper" and that he was with the fraud Unit at PRG. He said that I had drawn a check from Wachovia Bank for an online loan. He somehow got a hold of my cell phone number as well. I did not want to talk with him as he would just threaten me with everything under the sun. these guys are creeps.
