I just got a phone call from this number. I also posted my resume on Monster.com for a completely unrelated job. The person I spoke to had an Indian accent. He said he represented Bankers Life Casualty Insurance and that they wanted me tk come to Mechanicsburg (PA) for an hour long interview. He said they don't care about previous work experience and that this was for an insurance sales position. I told him I wasn't interested because from where I live it would take me over an hour and ten minutes to drive there. He informed me that I would only have to drive there for the initial meeting and then once or twice a month for leads. I asked him where I would be working and he told me in my local area. I pressed on for specifics and asked what branch it would be and he again just told me I would be working in my area. Then I proceeded to ask him if it would be commission based or hourly. Then he hung up on me without saying anything.
I thought the whole thing was fishy from the moment he started talking to me. I especially thought something was up when he hung up on me out of the blue. I was just going to ignore it but the more I sat here the more it was bugging me. So I looked up the phone number and came across this site. Please be aware if you get a call from this number. I didn't go to any meetings obviously, so I don't know the next steps personally. But there is something wrong about this. If the others who posted here are correct, this is not legitimate.
It's for a "Banker's Life Causality insurance" job interview. They called me after I had applied to an unrelated listing on Monster. It's not actually an interview though you go and listen to a presentation, then they tell you to come back the next day. If you come back they offer to get you set up with your own insurance selling business for a fee. In other words it's a big scam.
Got the call at 5:15pm two days after posting a resume on Monster.com and careerbuilder.com. I did not know the number so I sent it to voice mail, caller immediately called back so I figured it was someone I knew and was using someone's phone to call me. Well when I answered I got in return "Hey it's me". Okay yeah tried to get me to listen to him by trying to fool me into thinking I know him. Banker's Life Causality insurance scam.
I received a call after posting my resume. This has nothing to do with my qualifications. He told me to look for an email from him in my SPAM box. I think not.
