Recording on answering machine already in progress when it picked up. Asking for "Tella For" is what it sounds like. Even if answered no one is there and you're put on hold. I don't wait. But, if it's a third party collection agency trying to collect a debt that they paid without consulting me I only owe them a thank you. They don't care why a debt was charged off (double account billing from AOL that was written off or Aetna Ins. not paying my dentist bill after numerous presentation of bill to them by the dentist's office and they eventually got tired of ring-around-the-rosy with them and charged it off.) I say thank you to them but no pay. They need to research why they have that charge before haranguing, belittling and constantly calling for supposed debt that has been resolved between the two parties concerned. No validation of debt.
Someone from this number calls at least 5 or 6 times a week (717) 238-7124. The number comes up as "Central Credit" or "C Credit" or "Central C" depending on what day they called. I don't answer any calls from people that I don't know. I figure, if they really want to talk to me, they will leave a message. Well, what the message says is "we have important information to discuss with (and then they butcher my name), to hear this message in English press 1...". Well, that doesn't give me any reason to call back so I don't. I'd like to know who this is and why they are calling me!!
Received a call from this number stating it was an important business call for *my name* If you are *my name* please press 1. Recording continued by stating they were calling to collect a debt of $70.74, but did not state on what company's behalf. I have no idea what this is about and there is no outstanding debt that I know of. There was an option to press 3 if I wanted to speak to someone but when I did, no one was available so they will call me back this week.
