Don't let them fool you. This is a scam. They try to intimidate you into thinking that you have a previoud debt that was not satisfied and if you don't pay it they will put you in jail and harass you. When they call just hang up on them. If this is your place of work inform who ever works the front desk that this is a scam and not to pass the call through. They will eventually stop.
Left to messages Mr Paul Wilson Claims to be a Police Officer. I informed him the call is being recorded. I asked him for his badge ID he would not give it to me. The first time he called he used a cell phone. He call a security number out and ask me to verfy I did not. Then he hung. He claims to be with a Crime Bureau. I have report this number to Georgia Attorney General for harassment.
I just received a call from the same guy. He does not read off of a script too well! And could not even pronounce part of the city I live in called Ridge.
I keep getting calls at work and on my cell from the same guy..."officer Wilson" who cannot speak english very well. I would think that if he was working for any crime bureau in the US he would be able to speak clearly and not use harrassing statements! He calls at least three times a day on both numbers, one right after the other.....any suggestions on how to find out if this is a scam...my instincts tell me it is but I want to have all of the info I can before I call the jerk back and tell him to leave me F...alone! The number comes up 832546129 on the caller id but the number he leaves to call back is 717-283-1916.
