Caller id says SSI. called twice tonight and wondered what it was. Hoped someone else had posted, but no luck. I no longer answer callers I don't recognize.
REVERSE PHONE NUMBER INFORMATION FOR NUMBER 717-382-8967
This number that comes upon the caller ID is SSI followed by the number below. Each time I pick up, I hear a beep...then, after a pause, they hang up. I have not been able to talk to them to ask them to remove our number /DNC list. I did call them back (blocked my #) and got found their website.

Save the number to your contact list. List the last name as,...Do Not Answer..., Under the notes put the date that they called. That way you can keep track of how many times they call if you like. And, when the phone rings, instead of looking at just an unknown number, it will show the call is from...Do Not Answer. Then just ignore the call. Another solution is to just block the call. Remember, when a computer calls phone numbers in sequence, they do not know who they are calling until you answer and tell them. Don't get frustrated, technology is great...it works both ways.
