yes, they call and hang up. finally spoke with them and they claim to be an insurance carrier with a new guarantee issue life product "just approved in the state of new york" they had my email and asked them to forward the info. They never did. They wanted to verify my address info. I refused. Told them that I needed a general switchboard number and a website. They never gave me the info. Watch out!!!!! Usually carriers let the company name on the caller id, tried calling the number and is constantly busy. The woman said they were soliciting insurance agents. Also, I asked them why they did not leave messages and they hung up. She did not give me a straight answer.
