This number called me said they were working for the Chief of Police for Adamstown, Pa and they wanted us to donate. We told them we were not able at this time and they got very pushy asking for our credit card!!
I repeatedly get calls from this number and numerous others, always from the same man, identifying himself as being with the Fraternal Order of Police, asking for a donation.....this man will not take no for an answer! He won't even let me talk....he just keeps talking over me. I have tried to nicely tell him that I cannot donate but he pushes on.....I have hung up on him & finally I just quit answering the phone. I received a call today from this particular phone # and didn't answer. No one left a message. I called the number back, expecting/hoping to get a recording that would allow me to be taken off their calling list. Funny......this same man answered the phone "HELLO"....NOT "Fraternal Order of Police" or "Thanks for calling the Fraternal Order of Police".....JUST "HELLO". Does that sound like a bonefide 'business' to anyone out there?? I said "hello" back & he repeated "Hello", then he went into his speech, thanking me for calling back the Fraternal Order of Police & once again begging for a donation.....Once again I tried to speak to tell him to take me off his list & he just kept talking over me.....I just kept talking louder & louder until I was yelling into the phone & told him he needs to take me off his calling list. He said he would get right on it. Next time I will blow a whistle into the phone.
