They called twice. Left a message on my answering machine once, but it was just fuzzy noise. Today I picked up on the 3rd ring and it was just fuzzy noise again.
I did a search of the number. I'm not going to PAY to find out who they are. My phone number is on the DO NOT CALL LIST.
Does anyone know who they are? Are they highjacking our phone numbers for illegal purposes? (When I worked at a hotel, some people would try to connect with our line somehow to get free long distance (for them). We had to hang up on them within 11 seconds to prevent them from highjacking our line.)
I got a call from this number yesterday and today. No one is on the other line, and they hang up. BUT...my caller id says its VERIZON CMMCTN (I'm guessing Verizon Communication). Mmmm...I'll be calling Verizon to verify and inquire WHY
1717 520 7582 call rang with ID VERIZON CMMCTN, hung up when answered, I called, busy signal, on the phone now with Verizon to find out about it, no info. from them, they deny there's an account at that number, verizon asks to verify my contact info. and that's all they can do. Useless.
Called my cell phone, rang twice, when I picked up a funny noise. Called the number back and it states it is not a valid number. Rec'd call on May 26 2008 @ 2:p.m.
thought it was someone from my hometown. hung up after i answered. called back, invalid number. what is up with the rash of these nuisance calls from across the country.
Called once. Some kind of beep on my voicemail. Caller ID was Verizon Communications. I thought it may have had something to do with FIOS and them doing some kind of communication check. My FIOS isn't at all what I expected - it's actually slow. Takes about 90 seconds for the Verizon homepage to come up. Anyway, I thought it might relate to that issue.
