Unlike many folks, if I'm up for a "power nap" I leave my cell in another room... ditto the phone in the bedroom. Whoever called 2x from this number, once at 4:17 and again at 4:43pm... to my cell, while I was napping. A recent article claimed AT&T was teaming w/ the FCC in declaring war on telemarketers... good luck! It motivated me to look up the Director of the FCC and send him a note. What'd I get back? A 10 point instruction set on what I had to do to combat these guys!!! I responded "I have 5 lines; each gets about 3 calls a day x 365 days a year (5,475 calls) x your 10 point questions (per form, per incident)... do the math! 54,750 questions per year! Who pays me to spend that kind of time to do what [as a taxpayer] is theoretically already regulated by law & industry? How the hell are we going to beat ISIS if we can't beat "Helen, with Card Services?" Neither the head of the FCC or the journalist who penned the article responded to my counter.
