They announce themselves as officer so and so. First they say an unfamiliar name with a question mark after it, as Joe? I say, who? Then they say they this is officer so and so. I can't get a word in, very pushy like salesmen so I finally say F off and hang up. I've had similar calls before asking for donations for fallen officers or to donate to state troopers and I think these guys are scammers. In some states the troopers and police use different numbers, bu7-t where I live their number is clearly displayed as xxxx state troopers assoc. or xxx police, certainly not some out of state number with a pushy a hole asking for my address to mail me the info. after I tell them I don't have anyway of knowing that they are who they say they are,etc. Don't answer.
called my home phone again today at 8:56AM. no message was left and I didn't answer the call because I didn't know who was calling. The called ID read Carlisle PA 717-609-0684
