I had my husband answer the call, they specifically asked for me, but mispronounced my name with a foreign accent, said he was calling about a windows machine. He asked using my name if I were there, my husband said he was him...the man hung up.
This is an attempt to get access to your computer...don't fall for it!!
Answered call from "717-800-4823" from "Spruce Grove, PA" thinking it was a business colleague. I asked how he received my contact number, and he ignored the question. Very loud background noise, and very thick foreign accent. He hung up after saying he would call me back in a few hours "to review errors generated with Windows Explorer on my home computer"..... Obviously a scam.
Same as others. Heavy foreign accent. Said my computer had operating errors. I asked him how he would feel if he accidentally called an FBI Special Agent and identified his call as illegal fishing scam. He hung up.
