Got the same call. Robo voice "Mrs. Thompson" left a message on my voice mail about the supply charges for my Met-Ed electric account. How odd. I am not a Met-Ed customer. SCAM!
Recvd a call from a Mrs. Thompson. Says it's from Grantville, pa. Left a message saying from Supply company and I need to call her back at 484-709-8030 and make sure to tell her my electric account number- hey- thought u already knew it, ahem...is it a scam....of course it is. Last time I heard that Met ed was selling Our phone number for their profit- so glad u pay a private phone # monthly for them to sell it, ugh!!
Got the same message on 1/27/17 - "This is Mrs. Thompson. I've been trying to reach you regarding an important matter about the supply charges on your med electric account. Please return my call at 484-709-8030 and have a copy of the electric statement handy to review your reference number is Mxxxxx."
SAME HERE..."Hey this is Mrs. Howard, from Supply Co. and called me at (484)650-3895, I have an important matter related to your electric statement. My ref # M2xxxx." The caller ID showed Grantville-PA 717-971-1029. STOP CALLING MOTHER F&^%$
I rec'd the same message as the others from 717971029, however, "Mrs. Howard" called me and asked me to call her back at 484-650-3895.....give a reference number and have my utility bill ready. I blocked my outgoing number, called, and "melissa" would only tell me she was a representative from Met Ed and PPL after I asked her 3 times who I was calling. She encouraged me to have my reference number and a copy of my bill and call her back from an unblocked number (since I wouldn't give her my real name). She said I might be entitled to a reimbursement but that i need to call from an unblocked number. Tried to report to the 1-800 number for Met-Ed, and they are closed. Total scam!
caller id shows Grantville PA, number 717-971-1029 , was a Mrs. Heller about a problem with my electric charges. Please call 484-650-3895 and have your electric bill. SCAMMER
