P.S. There was also a $299 fee to register. And he was going to give me a website for me to refer to, but he never got that far.
Also, he said that it was never a "draw", that it was always posted that people entering their names were qualifying for a heavily discounted vacation. But I don't think anyone was "qualifying" for a heavily discounted $500 Home Depot gift card... even if what he said was true. (As far as I recall, it wasn't.)
I went the the bridal show this past weekend and filled out a few ballots and when i got the call at first I couldnt believe that I had won a trip, but then the guy started sayin everything that i won and that the trip for two to florida and the bahamas was a $2500 trip i was pretty thrilled then he went on bout the info and that i also got a 3 day trip to vegas and another one to florida to promote to my friends and family that its such a great thing blah blah blah, then hes like im gonna need the expiry date of your credit card im like ok so u just need the expiry date to place a hold on it and hes like yes then im goin to need the cost of one person promo fee of $199 minimum to put on ur credit card, and i asked him why he needed money if i won a trip for free and he explained the same thing to me again and i told him i didnt have enough money on my credit card to use it. so they said they are gonna call back monday and that will be a phone call I WILL NOT ANSWER. thank you everyone for sayin something on here or i would have lost some money. Also i told everyone that i went to the bridal show with and they had told me they had got a call from that number too. That deff shows that this is fake and do not fall for it.
Went to the "everything to do with sex show" in Toronto on Saturday and entered a couple contests putting down my cell phone number (my sister did the same)
Since monday morning we have both received numerous calls from this phone number along with
718-228-1762
I havent answered it but my sister finally did today and they told her she won a vacation and they needed a credit card number. knowing it was a scam she hung up and filled me in
I googled the number to make sure and found this wonderful site :)
My Boyfriend and have recieved similiar phone calls from this phone number claiming we won a trip to the Bahamas. We also filled out ballots at the Everything to do with sex show. DO NOT Buy IT!!!
Scam.
