718-234-9577 called and claimed the company claimed I had a refund coming to me because the government had cancelled their contract. When I pressed them to tell me more they passed me on to another person who again repeated the scheme and told me that they wanted my bank info to deposit the amount. I told them I was not going to give them any information, to email me the details. They would not but kept referring me to the next person. A classic salesman trick. Bogus. Then they called back on this number: 914-246-3014. DO NOT GIVE THESE [***] ANY INFO or GIVE THEM ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER VIE THE INTERNET! THEY WILL ROB YOU!
I didn't answer, simply because I don't answer calls from numbers that aren't programmed into my phone.
For those who DO answer these calls: If it's a foreign-sounding scammer, tell them they are bringing Dishonor onto their family and that their ancestors would be deeply ashamed of them.
Found that bizarre when i saw the area code so i didn'd answer. From what i see now, it looks like a call from USA.
I live in Québec, Canada so i don't know anybody from there!! What do they want exactly??
