Received a call from these guys claiming to be US Financial last Friday...then again Monday and again today (Tuesday). They just don't care that my number is on the do not call list. They hang up when I tell them that, but then they call back the next day again anyway. Jerks.
Got call from foreign sounding guy who had my first name and was
asking something about having a lot of Credit Cards. I said "Excuse me?"
Then they hung up! I just spent a w/e in NYC and was nervous that
someone got a credit card #.
Caller ID shows no company name (of course!) & just the phone number (which is BOGUS!) and Brooklyn NY. A rude idiot named "Stony" was on the line (pretty sure he's from India or Pakistan & NOT named "Stony"!) He refused to answer what company he is with or why he is calling- said I was nosy for asking him so many questions. WHAT A RUDE UNEDUCATED JERK!
Probably the old "we'll lower your credit card rate" BS.... Hard to find who the actual calling company is- of course we're all on the No Call List, but these are bottom feeder scammers. We'll let AT & T find them & then report to the Attorney General!
I have gotten about four phone calls from these guys. At first they called from a different number twice and the second time I told them I would report them to the police. Now they are calling from this number and always the same MO. It is a guy he sounds from the Middle East with accent and he is really RUDE.
The caller ID identifies it as Brooklyn New York but when you call the number back it says it is out of service. They are asking about credit card debt. I don't let them get any further than that. I am afraid it is a scam and next they will ask for identifying information. don't give them any!!
I was a little shocked at how rude they are and that that was weird for a sales guy. Now I feel they are just scammers!! beware!! very rude and confrontational.
I have blocked these guys constantly - got several calls from them on two different numbers. Told them they were on the "Do Not Call" Registry, and they did not care - got a call from a Middle Eastern male and then a Middle Eastern Female. Yes, the caller ID displays Brooklyn, but there have also been calls from California as well. I blocked the other numbers, and am blocking this one. My only question is - when you call them back and it states that their number is no longer in service, how are they able to make calls? It makes no sense. Very rude, confrontational, and do not take NO for an answer. I guess this is my lesson in using the word NO lol -- Yes, they state they are from First Financial, and ask about how much debt you are carrying with credit cards, and they can help. It IS a scam. Do not let them have your information. Get off the phone as quickly as you can, and BEWARE, folks.
