TOTAL SCAMMERS - Called me at work from a NY (718) number to tell me he worked for a company named Microsoft Windows and his computer/network was receiving a signal from my computer that my computer has problems that he could fix, once he remotely accesses my computer. He said his call back number is a CA (213) number. I ran him around for a few minutes before I told him that it sounded like scam. He got mad and hung up.
Got a call from that annoying number but all I got was a moment of silence and a few nasty coughs in my ear!! VERY unprofessional, should be ashamed of themselves. I am saddened that the female caller hung up before I could get any satisfaction. SCUMBAGS should get a REAL job and find something productive to do on a Sunny Saturday afternoon.
Just received a call on my cell from this number. Stated he was from Microsoft and my computer was sending messages to them about a virus. I told them they need to contact the real owner of my computer and he said, with a thick accent, who would that be? , I told him the United States government, I work for the government and that's the only computer running right now. He said"oh when will you be on yours?" I said after 5 and how did you get this number? He said from the messages on your computer through the internet. I told him no way that he was calling a cell phone and my internet is cable. He said he would call back after 5. If he does I'm going to answer my phone "U S Government Intelligence " and see what happens.
