I use a software called phonetray - not it is not free, but it works...I simply block the number and add a voice reply like "Not accepting calls" or "Not accepting Telemarking calls" among several options. When this number come in, it rings once and that it! I can block up to 1,000 numbers, and accept the same number by adding them to a white list and have the option of adding a name or some other note to let me know who is calling...it displays on the PC screen, announces the caller name and number...nice.....
3 calls. 3 days in a row. All caller ID says is "Out of Area". Between not answering my door due to scammers and not answering my landline phone due to scammers, I am pretty pissed. I HAVE a call block device. I had to pay for the opportunity to avoid scammers :/ SCAM call, block the number.
Call if automated from American Institute of Injury. LOL Message is for senior citizens. LOL
Recntly figured out how to block calls with VERIZON FIOS. After you log into your account this is where you want to go. It is a little tricky to get there but it works! Incoming Call Block - FiOS Digital Voice
I just got a call from 718-285-7209. If I don't know the number that appears on my phone, I press talk, then immediately press off. This way they can't leave a message which usually just takes up space with no message at all and i have to go through the trouble of accessing their "non-message" just to delete it from the phone. I do have call block, but find this other method is working quite well. Yes, I may have to do it 5 or 6 times, but then it's over. If it doesn't work, still have the backup of blocking through my telephone company.
