Claims to be from DC. Claims this is a $9000 grant from the government that does not have to be paid back. I told them "ok, then send it to me", and hung up.
Cand the caller ID showed Staten Island, N.Y. Did not answer so do not know what they wanted. It seems really stupid to me that these people call and the caller ID will show different towns or different states, why would anyone answer if you do not know anyone in these towns or states or if you do and don't recognize the number it is sure to be an unwanted call.
Called saying I was chosen for a free grant of $9000 and verified my name and phone number. I gave them my mailing address and they told me to call another number to release my funds (240-232-2738).. Going to call just to see if it's a scam and then take my time on the phone to prevent them from calling anyone else while I can keep them occupied on the line.
