I have just been dealing with the same issue. Found this site by googling skytel paging scam. They have called from 718-304-5383. I asked them to stop and take number off the list, and they called back.TWICE on the same day, on a holiday sunday evening. Number is also on the do not call list. Very rude.
Caller ID showed Skytel Paging. I decided to answer and it was someone claiming to be from NYPD PBA Assn. I stopped him from talking and hung up. They do this once a year, they try to get your credit card information so you can make a donation to the PBA. Ask any police, they do not solicit donations this way.
Be careful, these guys are good
I have told these people to stop calling me, they don't get it, I am also on the do not call list. They have called me as late as 10 pm. I want it to stop.
I know the PBA does not solicit over the phone. So I called this guy a phony and hung up.
If you are from an official agency why did the caller ID say skytel paging? DUH!
