They said that they had over charged me on my computer coverage and where trying to refund the over charge. They got on to my computer and put in their own password and are trying to get money from my to reset my computer.
Said his name is Michael Smith, name given to him by his dad, (I asked because of his thick Indian-sounding accent). Wanted to refund my money 'cause they didn't fulfill their end of the bargain but I would have to fill out a cancellation form. For some reason, they couldn't mail me the form, I have to be at the computer along with him or one of them when I did it and they would refund the money to my bank account. I told him he couldn't do that as he would not have access to my bank account. I asked about them mailing me a check. He said they would place it in my hands as soon as I accessed the cancellation form and filled it out. I told him I had to leave for a few days and he tried to pin me down as to when I would be at my computer again. He was persistent and I just hung up. He called right back. I didn't answer the phone. He left no message. Oh, and by the way, he said he represents Tech-)-Mania.
They have called me many times claiming that they are 'the' (technical) computer company wanting to refund me my money (for something having to do with my computer tech support services). They changed my computer password and wanted me to send them money to allow me to use my computer. He wanted me to send money to the UAE, to a religious group which translated means Mohammad, a kharjite sect. May be terrorists. The man's name may also may be a religious group of the Zuni Indians, but with his accent I would think that it likely is the Muslim people. I had his password removed by a computer tech company
They have been calling me with the exact same things as said in earlier post. The same thing about a refund and I have be on my home computer and do as they say. I was to fill out a refund form. I could not do it, knew something was not right.I have I hang up and they call right back. I do not answer. Yesterday I finally told them I have reported them.
