I just received a call from this number a few seconds ago and picked up the call and was an automated introduction stating that they were calling from the IRS on behalf of president Obama's new tax plan to help reduce or eliminate my back taxes. Then instructions to press #1 if I was interested or just hang up if I wasn't interested.
I will call the IRS directly on the phone number that I know really belongs to the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 in connection to my income taxes. If this is a real thing, I'm sure the main headquarters will work with me.
FYI: If you receive a call from a number that isn't recognized as a number that belongs to the entity they claim to be calling from, never give out any of your personal information and never give out your credit card number and never pay any money for a service until "after" you look into it by directly speaking with the agency themself, such as the IRS.
Just got a call left from this # and declined it. They left a message stating:
"Hi this is sarah and I'm calling to talk to you about your IRS back tax debt.
