Someone called my home and left a message for my daughter. They said they were from the Department of Federal investigations IRS. They had a very thick accent and call me from a Washington DC phone number 202 239 7104. I tried calling the number back several times but kept getting disconnected when I asks probing questions about why they were calling. Every time I call I got someone with a foreign accent.
A guy named "Kevin Brooks" from the "Federal Investigation Dept. called my office yesterday (July 8) asking to speak to me. I called him back at 202-241-0064. I head a lot of background noise, such as you'd hear in a call center or boiler room. This "Kevin" claimed I had been unresponsive to letters from the IRS and that warrants had been issued. I told him flat out that he was a scammer. He threatened consequences. I asked him for his badge number (8586) and I asked him to give me my address to prove he had information. He gave me a completely wrong address. The line into my office that they called on is new and I believe this number previously belonged to an immigrant. I've read this group preys on immigrants to the US. If you've read this far here, you know that this group is 100% false. Avoid them. Give them no information.
