A man with an Indian accent called and said he was calling from Home Depot and that they were running a special for Home Improvement projects. I informed him he was calling a business and he hung up before I could say another word.
The people are crooks. They do not use any "do not call list." Why would you even waste your time asking for that?
You would be better to simply say "I rent an apartment." If there is no chance that they could use their scam against you, they will go somewhere else.
